When my friend Lila suggested that we should try some online dating sites I can pretty much say I thought she was kidding. I know some of these dating sites have been around for some time and that some of them supposedly have really good track records for matching couples but I just could not really see myself meeting the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with via a computer screen. Plus if truth be told I will admit that I had really always thought that dating sites were mostly for men to meet loose women to have sex with and not for serious relationships.

At Lilas insistence though I went ahead with it and we each signed up to what is probably the most popular of all the dating sites that are online at the moment and before I knew it we were online checking out all of the different profiles. There were so many men and so many that seemed like great catches that almost immediately I found myself very glad that I had agreed to sign up with Lila. Together we built our profiles, adding the most stunning pictures we had of each other and making our pages seem as interesting as possible. I realized that with so many members the possibility of is meeting some good men were not that far off and with that new perspective on the whole thing I set off on what I hoped would be the road that would lead me to the man of my dreams.

It only took me three months to meet Tony my boyfriend and 4 months for Lila to meet Dean herfianceewho we all adore to pieces and who we can't wait to see married to her. As for me and Tony we are doing great and maybe in a few months we can be engaged too, we decided to take things nice and slow so we can be sure that we are doing the right thing but I do have high hopes for us and our future together. Now I think back to myreluctanceon joining the dating site and realize I almost missed my chance to meet him and now I am so thankful that I let Lila talk me into it. Since joining both of our lives have changed for the better and we both have that great dating site to thank for it all.
